The Abbey of Roseland is an original mansion on the hills of Nice, built in the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries. In 1763, it became the property of one of the most illustrous family in Nice, the Lascaris-Vintimille. After having had several owners, the mansion was purchased by Edouard Larcade in 1925, a Parisian antique dealer, who decided to incorporate an old cloister (coming from the Daurade, Toulouse) to the former structure. From then on, the property was called the Abbey of Roseland.
