Albert Ier Gardens

On the western part, on the right bank of the river Paillon, in 1852 was created the very first public garden in Nice. In 1864 the Napoléon Bridge linked the two banks. In 1868, the bandstand and another garden on the left bank completed the ensemble. In 1895, the mouth of the Paillon was entirely covered with a garden “à la française”. The current design was inaugurated in 2013 (arch. Pena y Peña).
