Petite avenue de la Californie

This little street was the road towards France to reach the fords and, later, to go to the bridges on the river Var, the ancient border of the County of Nice, until 1860. The name of the street was chosen in the middle of the XIXth century, the period of the legendary California Gold Rush. In many cities, this name was given to outlying districts.
